Terms of Use
This is an English translation of the French original. In case of conflict, the French version prevails.
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the OneFolder mobile application (“the Application”), published by Julien Cochard, operating under the name OneFolder (“we”, “the publisher”).
By creating an account or using the Application, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Application.
2. Description of the service
OneFolder lets you, in particular:
- scan or import invoices and receipts (camera, photo library, files);
- pre-fill certain fields using OCR analysis;
- organize documents by date / folders and labels;
- view, edit, and delete your invoices;
- export summaries (PDF / Excel);
- sync your data when an account is signed in.
The Application is provided “as is”. Features may change, be added, or be removed.
3. User account
- Access to the cloud service requires an account identified by an email address.
- Sign-in uses a one-time code sent by email (OTP).
- You are responsible for the confidentiality of your mailbox and access to your device.
- You agree to provide a valid email address and not to impersonate anyone else.
4. Content you upload
You remain the owner of the documents and information you import into OneFolder (invoice photos, amounts, notes, labels, etc.).
You warrant that:
- you have the right to store and process these documents in the Application;
- the content is not unlawful and does not infringe third-party rights (privacy, intellectual property, professional secrecy, etc.);
- you understand that invoices may contain sensitive personal or financial data and that you upload them under your own responsibility.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license solely to host, process, and display this content in order to provide the service (including pre-fill OCR).
5. OCR and data accuracy
Automatic information extraction (OCR) is a pre-fill aid. It may be incomplete or incorrect. You must check and correct the fields before relying on them (accounting, filings, reimbursements, etc.).
OneFolder is not an accountant, and is not a tax or legal service. PDF / Excel exports are personal or professional organization tools; how you use them is up to you.
6. Prohibited uses
In particular, you must not:
- use the Application for illegal or fraudulent purposes;
- attempt to bypass security, access other users’ data, or overload the service;
- perform unauthorized reverse engineering, abusive scraping, or mass extraction of APIs;
- reuse the service to train models or resell unauthorized access;
- send malicious content (malware) via imported documents.
We may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach or a risk to the security of the service or other users.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide reasonable availability of the cloud service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability (maintenance, provider incidents, network, force majeure). Features may change or be in the process of being rolled out.
8. Intellectual property
The Application, its trademark, interface, texts, and graphic elements belong to the publisher or its licensors. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited, except for uses permitted by law.
9. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of the contractual relationship.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Application at any time and sign out.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data directly from the Application.
- We may terminate or suspend access in the event of a breach of these Terms, a legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service, with reasonable notice where possible.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or loss of data resulting from non-compliant use, unverified OCR errors, temporary unavailability, or the acts of third parties (network, App Store, Google Play, cloud providers).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (in particular in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, or harm to physical integrity).
12. Third-party services and stores
The Application relies on third-party services (including cloud hosting / auth and OCR). Their availability and their own terms may affect the service. Purchases, downloads, and the rules of the stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) remain governed by those platforms’ terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.
In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts shall be those of the publisher’s registered office, subject to the protective jurisdiction rules applicable to consumers.
